Few have had such a definitive impact on diversity in cycling like Jeremy. Him and his business partner Kim, have for 11 years run Team Africa Rising, a charity dedicated to spotlighting and showcasing the talent, the voices and the achievements of African cyclists.

Meet Evangelos, aka Evan, the content creator focusing on demystifying cycling for beginners and more experienced riders alike.

Cycling gave Ama the world. From travelling across continents to racing iconic events like Paris–Roubaix, the sport opened doors. But his journey has also meant overcoming barriers, racing national podiums on second-hand equipment, and navigating racism and exclusion along the way. Ama shares an honest reflection on resilience, identity, and why telling these stories matters if cycling is to become a more inclusive sport.

Toks is a unique soul. Not just uniquely dedicated to diversity and cycling, but turning that devotion into action and real behaviour change. If you don't know, Toks founded Black Unity Bike Ride, a celebration of cycling, and more specifically, black cycling, first in London, then in Manchester and now back to the motherland, Africa. Aster, a road and gravel cyclist from Amsterdam with Singaporean roots, is co-founder of No Ordinary Women Cycling Club (NOWcc). She discovered cycling seven years ago through the industry and has since built a career in marketing while championing representation in the sport. Meet Titus Wairia from Eldoret, Kenya, a rider whose love for cycling runs deep. For him, it’s all about the freedom of the open road, the joy of adventure, and the calm that comes with every ride. Along the way he’s faced challenges like finding safe routes and affording good gear, but his passion keeps him pedalling. Now Titus is excited to share his story and encourage more people to discover the simple joy of cycling.

We’re thrilled to introduce our next contributor, a proud Peruvian now based in Suffolk whose passion for cycling has grown into a mission to empower others. From co-founding the women’s-only Aeonian Race Team on Zwift to leading Boudicca GRVL Social rides through Suffolk’s trails, she’s building communities where every rider belongs — and proving that adventure is always just a pedal away.

Born and raised in East London, Stefan Johnson has been riding since 2011 and now runs SJ Cycles, a business he built to pursue his passion for bikes while creating opportunities for young, underprivileged riders. From fixed gear to cargo bikes, he’s driven by the freedom cycling offers and the chance to be the representation he once wished to see, breaking barriers in an industry where diversity was once rare.
