Tell us about yourself.
My name is Titus Wairia, and I'm a passionate cyclist with a deep love for the sport. I’ve been cycling for few years, and during this time, I’ve explored everything from road racing to mountain biking. Cycling is not just a sport to me; it's a way of life that has shaped who I am today.

What do you love about cycling
The freedom that comes with cycling is what I adore most about it. It's impossible to describe the feeling of adventure I get every time I go on my bike, the open road, and the wind in my face. Riding a bike gives me the opportunity to push myself, connect with nature, and discover a sense of calm that's difficult to find in our hectic environment. Every ride, whether I'm riding alone or with a group, is an opportunity to learn something new about the outside world and about myself.

What barriers have you faced in cycling
Like most cyclist, I've encountered my fair share of obstacles. At first, it was a physical challenge—developing the strength, endurance, and mental fortitude required to persevere through difficult situations. Financial constraints also came into play because high-quality equipment and bicycles may be pricey. In addition, there have always been difficulties navigating traffic in cities and locating safe routes. However, every one of these challenges has strengthened my will and resourcefulness and advanced my cycling journey.

Why were you interested in contributing?
I'm enthusiastic about giving back to the cycling community because I want to spread the love and advantages of this activity to as many people as possible. Every effort matters, whether it's coaching aspiring riders, taking part in fundraising rides, or pushing for improved bike infrastructure. I'm excited to give back to cycling, which has given me so much, by encouraging people to take up and enjoy this amazing sport.
Your fondest memory on the bike
My fondest memory is completing my first century ride.
The sense of accomplishment, combined with the camaraderie of my fellow riders and the beautiful landscapes we passed through, made it an unforgettable experience. It was a reminder of how far I've come and how much more there is to explore.
